SEEKING FAMILY LAW LEGAL ASSISTANT FOR BELLEVUE FAMILY LAW FIRM
Amaya Family Law is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide essential support to our attorneys in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a reputable law firm and gain valuable experience in the legal field. This is a full-time position. This position will be hybrid (remote and in person) with physical presence at the office at the discretion of the lead attorney.
 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Assist attorneys in managing their caseloads by organizing and maintaining legal documents, correspondence, and files.
• Conduct legal research and compile relevant information for cases, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, contracts, and agreements.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and court appearances for attorneys.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to facilitate case management.
• Handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, managing attorney calendars and supporting   administrative Assistant as needed with
onsite needs for office space.
• Assist in the preparation of trial materials, exhibits, and presentations.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to ethical standards of the
legal profession.
• Stay updated with legal regulations, changes in legislation, and industry best practices.
 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies or a related field or Associate’s Degree in
Paralegal Studies or a related field.
• Previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling legal documents.
• Proficiency in legal research, using databases and online resources.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and
legal case management software.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
• Ability to track time in billing software.
• Familiarity with King County and Snohomish County local court rules a plus.
• Experience working with FamilySoft and/or Support Calc a plus.
