Material Handlers aka Racking Installers will either work part-time or full-time depending on the schedule or upcoming projects, availability, and workload in addition to terms of employment and job status.

Racking Installer is inclusive of material handling which includes different facets of construction dealing with building and erecting industrial rack systems, conveyors, catwalks, installing lockers, cages, and shelves etc. From time to time, it may include demo, moving, and transporting rack systems to and from different locations.

The work requires working with industrial steel and building storage rack systems, it requires an adherence to safety protocols and code.

Reading plans is a plus, as well having your own tools.

Employees must be trustworthy with safety as a priority. No shortcuts! Safety FIRST. Must wear proper protective equipment (PPE), steel toe boots, safety helmets, vests, and safety glasses as needed.

Requirements:

Push/Pull up to: 50 lbs (Fifty pounds)

Lifting up to: 50 lbs (Fifty pounds)

Climbing up and down ladders, stairs, rafters, beams using lifts and fall protection up to 29 feet high

Stooping, Squatting, Sitting, Kneeling, its a lot of "on the ground" work when anchoring. Sometimes raising your arms over your head and lifting.

Twisting, Bending, Turning, and possibly while carrying up to: 50 lbs (Fifty pounds) with teams.

The use of power tools, forklifts, and scissor lifts along with proper use of fall protection are also a part of the job.

Employees will be responsible to assist the team to complete the projects. Part of that entails drilling into concrete, hammer in anchors, build and construct steel storage rack systems and follow job site instructions, design and plans.

Occasional long distance travel and/or overnight stays.

From time to time the job will be full time however, typically has been part time. The company is growing and as the teams are trained, the business can take on more work. We will have temporary full time work mid Sept - mid Oct possibly even longer.
