Mathew Bruno Rutherford is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to assist with glass cleaning and general housekeeping duties at our new Rutherford Estate. Mathew Bruno produces single-vineyard, small-lot wines from some of the most sought-after vineyards in the Napa Valley - including Stagecoach Vineyard, Beckstoffer’s To Kalon Vineyard and Georges III Vineyard. We create approachable, balanced wines that capture the inherent vineyard characteristics from these iconic sites in every bottle.

Established in 2009 as a salute to bringing family and friends together through the appreciation of good wine and good food, Mathew Bruno is a family-owned and operated winery. The Mathew Bruno Rutherford Estate opened in June of this year. Located in the heart of Rutherford, the Estate sits on Rutherford Road next to neighbors Elizabeth Spencer Winery, Beaulieu Vineyards, and the acclaimed Rutherford Grill. Originally constructed in the 1890’s, the house was once considered to be “the finest house in Rutherford”. This project has long been a dream of the Bruno Family and we’re looking for the right individuals to help support this dream.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of our Dishwasher/Housekeeping team:

·      Setup and clear tables before and after tasting experiences.

·      Clean and buff fragile wine glasses in an effective and efficient manner.

·      Use glass washing machine and glass buffing machine with care.

·      At times, hand wash dishes and serving utensils.

·      Vacuum, mop, sweep and clean front and back of house areas.

·      Assist with daily setup and breakdown of the estate including wiping down outdoor furniture and raising and lowering umbrellas.

·      Lead by example and work well with others

·      Other duties as assigned. 

Required Experience 

·      Be at least 21+ years of age.

·      2+ years of housekeeping experience.

·      An availability to work a flexible work schedule that includes weekends and occasional evenings.

·      A passion for wine, Napa Valley, learning and teaching others

Skills needed

·      Reliable, detail-oriented, organized, and hard working

·      Highly professional in all interpersonal and customer communications 

·      Excellent attention to detail and ability to anticipate business needs and respond appropriately.

·      Ability to perform multiple tasks while remaining focused and organized.

Physical Requirements

·      Must be able to frequently lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies

·      Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks

·      Ability to stand for long periods
