We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Cheese Clerk to join our team at Cheese Plate Park Slope. This is a part-time position with the option to become full-time. The Cheese Clerk will be responsible for ensuring the quality and freshness of all cheese products, as well as providing excellent customer service to all shoppers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and stocking cheese displays
• Assisting customers with cheese selection and providing product knowledge
• Keeping track of inventory and placing orders as needed
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Following all food safety guidelines and protocols

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a retail or customer service role
• Strong knowledge of various types of cheese and the cheesemaking process
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to lift and move up to 80 pounds
• Flexibility to work weekends.
• A NYS Food Handlers license is preferred but not mandatory.

Salary: The salary for this position ranges from $15 - $25 per hour based on experience.
