Schedule: Monday- Friday between 8am and 4pm

Pay Rate: $17.00 – $17.50 an hour

Job Description

Job Summary:  We are looking to add dedicated team members who are detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and empathetic toward helping our clients return to functional independence.  This position is centered on helping the residents increase daily living skills, socialization, independence, behavior management, and pre-vocational skills.Individual will be responsible for assisting, mentoring and coaching of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide direct care to clients to increase daily living skills, cognitive development, socialization and behavior management
• Provide supervision and support for our clients in meeting their goals as per each individual program
• Assist clients with daily living needs and socialization's skills such as meals preparation, hygiene, groom, dress, exercise, and communication to promote independence
• Continually assess vocational, social, communication and independent skills
• Provide guidance to individual
• Assist clients with prescribed medications.
• Develop a rapport with clients while building a caring and supportive relationship.
• Assist individual with creating their weekly schedules before the end of each week

Qualifications: 

·       Candidate must have a high school diploma  or higher

·       Prior experience working with direct patients (preferable) 

·       Knowledge of developmental disabilities

·       Dependable, punctual, and positive attitude

Requirements:

·       Successful completion of DOJ and FBI background check

·       Successful completion and clearance of Tb test

·       First Aid and CPR certification 

·       Valid California Driver’s License

·       Provide proof of car insurance
