Job Title: Substitute

Hours: M-Thurs: 8:00-1:30 as needed

Reports to Director of Educational Services

Salary: $60/day

Physical location: 222 Main St., Shelbyville KY 40065

Position Overview:

Follow teacher lesson plans to provide learning experiences for the students to which he/she is assigned alongside therapist colleagues.  

Key Job Responsibilities:

Teaches and supervises students in the event that their regular teacher is unable to lead class. Their duties include managing classroom behavior, quickly interpreting lesson plans and creating reports to inform the students’ permanent teacher of their success.

·       Other duties as needed or required. 

Job Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

·       TB test

·       Background check

·       Incorporates a welcoming and loving attitude towards students and parents

Preferred but not required:

·       Minimum of 1 year’s experience working with children, especially with developmental disabilities.

·       Experience with children birth through six years of age.
