Our salon is looking for an experienced Barber/ Hairstylist to join our staff. Our ideal candidate must have a passion for cutting and styling hair and knows how to style classic looks as well as current trends. Ultimately, you must ensure all customers leave our salon satisfied with our services and feel happy with their new looks.

We are a startup company with the ability to service 4 people at the same time plus a Barber section capable of handling one person at a time.

The person we are looking for should be able to deal with the below;

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and identifying their preferences by asking pointed questions
• Offering welcome beverage
• Recommending hairstyles and haircuts according to customers’ face shapes and tastes
• Form bonds with loyal customers and remember their hairstyle preferences
• Cross-sell hair care products or services, when appropriate

Requirements and skills

• Work experience as a Hair Stylist/Hairdresser
• Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlers
• Able to do Hair Extensions and coloring
• Familiarity with hair treatment products and services, like keratin smoothing
• Up-to-date with industry trends
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Patient and detail-oriented.
• The ability to work under pressure.
• The ability to follow instructions.
• Physical stamina to stand for long hours
• Flexibility to work in shifts
• Valid license from a cosmetology school

Remuneration:

• Depending on experience and preference. A competitive compensation package will be negotiated based on commission / hourly or encompassing both with the applicant.
