Beacon CDL is a leading supplier / installer of commercial doors, frames, and hardware. We supply materials across the nation and around the world. We have been based in Salt Lake City, UT since 1966. Though this industry is foreign to many, it is a vital part of every commercial construction project. Beacon has been experiencing steady growth and we are seeking talented individuals who are willing to join our team, invest in learning the industry and move up within our company.

We are looking for a hardworking, detail-orientated, organized and energetic person to be part of our Estimating Team. 

This is a Part-Time position, flexible hours, 25-30 hours per week.

Salary is dependent on experience. Range $18-$24/hr

Work involves developing business opportunities in the new construction market by maintaining and servicing our customers. Position is responsible for providing and maintaining a high level of customer service and effectively providing solutions for our customers in a timely manner with high quality products and knowledge, while maintaining a return on sales consistent with company expectations.

Responsibilities

Administrative tasks for the Estimating team such as:

  • Convert bids into data base
  • Tracking progress of bids 
  • Pursue new business through current customer relationships 
  • Generate Estimating team reports weekly
  • Maintain Estimating team calendar and files 
  • Set up and maintain a filing system for the Estimating team to use
  • Learn and understand architectural drawing and specifications 
  • General Estimating team support as needed
  • Ability to prioritize and organize proposals/bid information and stay up to date on upcoming projects
  • Obtain extensive industry product knowledge.
  • Execute tasks and assignments in an effective, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Return phone calls in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly desk and office space.
  • Able to follow directions from a supervisor.
  • Able to communicate effectively.
  • Able to understand and comply with company handbook, rules and procedures.

Qualifications

Willing to train. All qualifications are nice to have, but not required.

  • Admin experience
  • Customer service
  • Door and hardware (a plus)
  • Efficient in computer software programs or able to learn quickly
  • General organizational skills
  • General math skills
