We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Basketball Coach to join our team at The Gala Empire. As a Basketball Coach, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality basketball skill development programs to youth participants. Your primary responsibility will be to create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters both physical and intrapersonal growth. You will contribute to shaping young athletes' understanding of basketball fundamentals while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for the game.

Essential Functions:

Abide by the weekly basketball organization system and follow the Gala Empire program guidelines.

Prepare engaging activities, lessons, games, and classes aligned with the Gala Empire program.

Adhere to safety guidelines set forth by the Gala Empire program to ensure a secure and nurturing environment.

Arrive prepared to each class with well-structured lesson plans, appropriate equipment, and necessary supplies.

Maintain and care for all equipment and supplies used during classes.

Conduct classes with enthusiasm and a nurturing approach, creating an atmosphere of learning and fun.

Serve as a positive role model for children, demonstrating physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Collaborate effectively within a team environment to ensure program success.

Foster an environment of acceptance that values and respects cultural diversity.

Set clear and consistent boundaries, employing positive child guidance methods.

Create opportunities for each child to develop self-esteem, competence, and a positive attitude toward physical activity and learning.

Actively participate in training sessions to enhance coaching skills and professional competencies.

Qualifications:

Solid knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and fundamentals is essential.

Familiarity with age-appropriate coaching techniques, offensive and defensive strategies, and player development principles.

Prior coaching experience in basketball, especially at the youth level, is beneficial (not required).

Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct, provide constructive feedback, and establish a supportive learning environment.

Patience and adaptability to cater to individual needs and challenges.

Ability to exemplify sportsmanship, integrity, and professionalism, serving as a positive influence on young athletes.

Strong time management and organizational skills to effectively plan and execute classes.

Basic first aid procedures and injury prevention techniques to ensure athletes' safety.

Passion for youth development and a commitment to instilling essential life skills through basketball.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Salary: $21.50 - $24.50 per hour
