~8+ hours/week, needing help Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

We are looking for a contract worker excited about composting and sustainability! New Earth Farm/CompostSTL is part of the fast growing community composting movement that is spreading across the country. We offer residential and commercial composting services and maintain a small, experimental urban farm. We are in a learning/growing phase and looking for like-minded folks to help us grow a greener St. Louis!

Job Description: New Earth Farm/CompostSTL is looking to add a contract worker that will have two primary responsibilities:

1. Material Collection: Collection of residential organic material from households in the Saint Louis metro area.

2. Operations: Emptying residential buckets into larger bins for composting and cleaning residential buckets.

Responsibilities

● Collect organic waste from residents throughout the Saint Louis metro area. Deliver coffee, biobags, finished compost, and other items ordered by subscribers.

● Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs safely

● Record detailed collections data using an internal app

● Complete your collection route by 4pm each day. The compost collection route can take 5-6 hours to complete up to 60 stops

● Stay on top of inventory related to bins, bags, and other collection related items.

● Immediately alert supervisor of any problems with collection or processing that have the potential of harming/delaying daily operations

● Relay comments, kudos, and criticism from subscribers

● Leave workspace clean and tidy before ending for the day

● Gardening/farm responsibilities

● Physically processing/screening small batch compost About You

● Must have clean driving record

● Must have own vehicle able to hold 60 buckets, must be van, truck, or large SUV

● Must use internal app for pickups and deliveries and additional communication app

● Willing and able to work outside in all of elements…rain, snow, cold, etc.

● Friendly and polite when interacting with subscribers

● Detail oriented, good problem solver, can work independently, good communicator
