Youth Coding/STEM instructor

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for college students and professionals to teach Coding and STEM related courses such as Coding, app design, and Engineering to students, ages 8-15. Classes are taught face to face and remotely. We will be looking for instructors who can assist us with our after-school programs during the week and our student workshops. Instructors must be willing to drive to our after-school sites which will be within the Atlanta metro areas. Each class typically meets 2 to 3 times a week and are usually 2 hours each session.
We offer group classes and remote classes face to face and remote. There will be opportunities for our instructors to assist with both. We provide a structured curriculum, teaching platform, and study guides for the students. The primary role of a Kids Next Code Instructor is to deliver the curriculum in an engaging way and ultimately be responsible for student retention and parent satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Undergraduate student with an academic focus in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or other tech related fields
-Proficiency in the following programming languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python
-Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
-Demonstrate initiative, time management, creativity, and ability to communicate in a professional manner
-Experience teaching or in a leadership position
-Computer with high-speed Internet access and microphone headset
-A reliable source of transportation
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Educate students (ages 8-15) in the following areas: Engineering design, Drag and drop based programs such as WIX and Squarespace, HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript, REACT
-Deliver the Kids Next Code curriculum in a fun and engaging way
-Facilitate class sessions with students ages (8-15)
-Provide feedback for curriculum improvement
-Engage with students and parents as needed
