Our client is a health care entity in Detroit, MI. has a contract-to-hire need for a full time, Patient Service Representative. This position is in a hospital setting.
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
Mostly day hours (1st & 2nd shifts).
Candidates MUST be available to work every other weekend
Must be open to working all shifts, as you will be fill in and rotating.
For Example: (5am-1:30pm or 8-6:30 or 11-7:30pm) & holiday rotations.
Expectations to be successful in this role - Attendance, patient care, teamwork, appearance, willingness to help where needed (flexibility), are all critical.
Major responsibilities & duties:
- The purpose of this position that manages front desk responsibilities. Such as: greeting new patients arriving, checking them in, register walk-in patients, answer phones and collect patient responsibility.
-Ensures patient info is complete and accurate so that the patient can pre-register
-Verifies insurance, calculates patient responsibility and request payment.
-Referrers patients in need of financial assistance to Financial Advocate.
Education Required: High School Graduate
Experience Required: 1 year of customer service or clerical/office experience, including answering phones and assisting customers.
