Burgh Construction - General Superintendent
General Superintendent will oversee all field operations for Burgh Construction. We are a small family owned and operated general contractor based out of Augusta, GA. We are looking for quality people that want to be apart of growing our company for the future.
Responsibilities
• Superintendent shall schedule all subcontractors, & vendors, as well as ensure their completion of work is of top quality; within the time allowed
• Works closely with management to ensure customer satisfaction and project performance
• Ability to multi task and keep detailed records on multiple projects simultaneously
• Conflicts or revisions to the plan shall be communicated with the project team for mutual resolution, prior to execution of work that deviates from the approved plans
• Superintendent shall establish and enforce job site safety and quality control programs to ensure safe and quality completion of construction
• Responsibilities and Essential Functions Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in the critical path to ensure timely completion
• Verify the quality of subcontractors' work to ensure it meets the standards of Burgh Construction and the project specifications
• Communicate with project team regarding RFI's and submittals in order to keep others informed about developments and plans
• Ensure the subcontractor is fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work to be able to provide feedback in a timely manner.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions to keep the job moving forward
• Maintain a daily log of activities and pictures on the jobsite in order to keep a precise history of the project
• Ensure the subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by the project team
• Walk entire jobsite daily to monitor quality control and keep the project on schedule
• Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner in order to ensure a safe jobsite free of accidents and trash
• Conduct weekly safety meetings on jobsite to remind subcontractors of Burgh Construction’s safety standards.
• Confirm subcontractor's work against plans for accuracy, location, and quality
• Create two week look ahead on a weekly basis to verify subcontractors schedule and to keep schedule in progress subcontractors and vendors by providing direction and helping to resolve confusion/problems
• Able to travel to jobsite as assigned
• Ensure that carpenter and subcontractors have clear goals and responsibilities
• Supports carpenters and subcontractors in their efforts to achieve job goals
• Stays informed about carpenters and subcontractors progress and performance
• Provides specific performance feedback, both positive and corrective, as soon as possible after an event
• Works closely with county inspectors to ensure inspections are performed in timely manner to avoid project delays.
