We are a pet grooming salon/pet boutique in Downtown Plymouth looking for an experienced and qualified pet stylist to join our business family! Our ideal candidate would have several years of professional dog grooming experience, but only one year is required for application. We are looking for talented full-time or part-time groomers who will be an asset to our family-owned small business. Potential applicants MUST be patient, understanding, and above all have a genuine love for dogs and cats! Willingness to work Saturdays and possibly a late weekday evening is a PLUS!

Expected Duties & Job Requirements:

* Minimum of ONE (1) year professional dog grooming experience
* Capability or willingness to groom cats is highly preferred
* Positive, friendly, and customer-service focused attitude
* High quality dog grooming skills - including clipping and/or filing nails, bathing, brushing, de-matting, fluffing, blow drying, trimming, scissoring, cleaning and plucking ears, etc.
* Performing breed-specific haircuts with excellent technique and accuracy
* Listening to pet parent requests regarding their pet’s groom styling and following their instructions with five-star precision
* Demonstrating basic safety precautions and procedures when working with animals
* Accommodating pets that have special needs (such as puppies, elderly pets, etc.)
* Light cleaning of own work areas, maintaining a neat and tidy station
* Desire to uphold a high standard of professionalism and work quality at all times
* Own necessary grooming equipment (not including table, tub, dryer)
* Valid driver’s license and own reliable transportation
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
