East Coast Mental Wellness
Opportunities available for Master’s Levels Interns. Complete your practicum hours with East Coast Mental Wellness. Experience working with clients in a outpatient one-on-one setting or create and run one of your own therapeutic group. Our interns are able to see clients remotely or at our Providence, RI office. Schedules are flexible to meet your needs. Supervision sessions are held remotely with one of experienced licensed social workers who have been in the field for over 20 years. A stipend of $600 will be considered at the end of the semester if all requirements are met and are seeing a minimum of 6 clients a week.
Requirements:
Must be currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree Program in Counseling or Social Work, working toward a provisional license.
Must have a laptop and abide by HIPAA rules and regulations
Must be comfortable working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, gender expressions and sexuality.
Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose patient's mental health conditions based on a review of patient information, interviews, observations,
Develop and implement treatment plans with patient input through clinical experience and knowledge
Work with individuals (adult & children), couples, families, and groups
Communicate with staff members
Maintain confidentiality of patient treatment and records
Document all encounters according to state and federal guidelines and code encounters that meet billing standards
Complete external documentation as requested
Attend company meetings
