We're looking for positive, dedicated individuals with a strong work ethic to join our team as Pool Host/Hostess at the St. Laurent Social Club & Guest Rooms in Asbury Park, NJ!
Pool hosts and hostesses keep the pool running smoothly. Hosts look after everyone who enters the pool. They're always on hand to answer questions and make sure guests' stay at The St Laurent is relaxing and fun.
This is a temperature-controlled saltwater outdoor pool, open to members, hotel guests and day pass holders from May 1 to October 1. Heirloom at the St. Laurent offers a poolside lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., as well as drinks and snacks from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., which guests can order poolside using barcodes provided by Pool hosts.
The pool is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting. Closures due to inclement weather are announced on Saint-Laurent's social media accounts.
Pool hosts will be trained in pool etiquette for each section: lawn, upper deck, garden, and will learn the required iPad applications. The iPad controls music, merchandise purchases, pool pass purchases, pool reservations and cancellations, as well as the ability to access the Internet and check our website and social media for any updates and information a customer may request.

Responsibilities :
- Welcoming Guests and checking them into Resy on the iPad
- Walk guest in the appropriate chair according to Resy
- Assist with other pool hosts to set up the pool club before opening
- Assist with other pool host to clean/close the pool club
- Maintain overall upkeep of the pool and pool deck
- Assist with clearing pool deck of used towels, and trash
- Politely ensure adherence to rules and safety guidelines
- Greet Guests with positive, friendly and helpful attitude
- Proactively address guest needs by answering questions, giving directions and other information regarding the hotel or surrounding areas
- Strong observational skills to proactively identify Guest needs and ensure safety guidelines are being followed
-Works outdoors in all kinds of weather including extreme temperatures and high humidity
Basic Qualifications :
- Strong verbal communication skills able to positively engage with guests, team members and management
- Enthusiastic about interacting with, assisting, and receptive to all guests
- Proactive in anticipating guest needs
- Must be able to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining quality
- Responsible and mature
- Energetic and comfortable giving and taking feedback
- Prolonged standing for two to three hours at a time and heavy lifting may be required
- You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
- Able to stand and walk up to 8 hours on pool deck in all types of weathered conditions
- Frequent walking/standing/pushing/pulling/reaching
- Frequent bending/twisting and kneeling
- Frequent use of hands
- Must work outdoors in an open water environment, in all types of weather; sometimes exposed to extreme heat/humidity and/or cold.
- Must be able to swim
