I am looking for a long term individual to help be a lead assistant at my private practice office!
The right person should have an energetic personality who is not afraid to put in the effort to help keep the practice successful and patients happy. We treat others the way we would like to be treated and having this philosophy is important to me. Our team is tight knit so hopefully you can become a part of our dental family. One year of dental assisting experience is ideal.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Patient education about procedures.
Good communication skills with patients and the team.
Organization of dental supplies for procedures according to doctor needs.
Tracking supplies needing to be ordered and keeping a list.
Assisting the doctor during dental procedures.
Taking 4 bitewings 3 PA's and a panoramic on new patients, bitewings and PA's on recall patients as needed.
Being aware of the schedule and encourage same day treatment for patients (within reason).
Fabricating temporary crowns.
Placing bonded attachments (buttons) for Clear Aligners on patients.
Following infection control protocols and performing end of week duties like cleaning the suction lines, traps.
Helping doctor and hygienist make sure notes are done (as simple as loading a premade template into the practice software).
Entering treatment plans with doctor for new patients and then reviewing them with patient including cost - reviewing cost is not a requirement but it can be helpful to be strong in this
Getting patients scheduled in the back for re-care cleanings and getting patients scheduled for treatment.
The schedule is Monday - Thursday 9-5. We take major holidays off and I am very understanding with time off requests. I think a work life balance is important for overall well being.
If you think you may be a good fit please send your resume and I look forward to speaking with you.
