Paint Technician
Commercial Truck Body and Paint Technician
Full Time (Dallas, TX)
Position Summary:
General painting practices, including operation of a conventional spray gun; working knowledge of paint products and their application in painting. Worksite management and clean up. Knowledge of safety standards for painting, ladder usage, personal protective equipment, and mobile worksites.
Compensation:
Up to $26/hour per labor hour depending on experience, time, and quality execution on projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plans and execute repair and painting jobs on vehicles/trucks depending on company requirements.
• Inspects equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
• Remove rust and other debris from surfaces to be painted, fill cavities and dents in vehicles to create an even surface, mask, and prep vehicle surfaces.
• Bondo Work
• Fabrication and Welding
• Repair damage to fiber glass, composites, steel, and aluminum.
• Mix paints to match color specifications or vehicles' original colors, stirring or thinning paints, using spatulas or power mixing equipment.
• Priming, sealing, and painting
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers or power equipment, using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths.
• Perform box truck repairs such as removing and replacing panels, corner caps, radius, and rails.
• Standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, and climbing with a full range of body movements
• Lift/Carry up to 50 lbs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
• Monday to Friday - 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
• Dallas, TX
• Box Truck Repair/Body Repair/Paint: 1 year (Preferred)
Qualifications:
● High School diploma or equivalent
● Vocational or Technical Certification in related field preferred
● Two (2) years or more experience in truck paint and body work preferred.
● Safety Sensitive Position
● Providing your own tool set/toolbox is preferred. Will rent equipment to start.
