Role Description

Are you a creative, motivated student seeking real experience or to build on your skills in the non-profit sector?

Our exciting internship opportunity will provide you with hands-on experience and valuable skills. As an intern, you can work closely with our board of directors and contribute to real community projects that make a difference. This is not your typical internship where you'll be fetching coffee or making photocopies – we believe in giving our interns meaningful work that allows them to grow and learn.

 

This part-time remote role is perfect for a college student looking to gain real work experience. The Intern will be responsible for general office assistance, social media, scheduling, and marketing. This role is flexible for remote work from home.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of marketing campaigns using Google Ads and Canva for social media
  • Support the Executive Director in scheduling meetings, training, calendar management, and essential tasks
  • Assist in organizing and community service events
  • Collaborate with the ED or BODs on special projects as assigned
  • Answer phone line
  • Additional administrative duties as assigned by ED or the Board of Directors

 

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Experience with outreach initiatives and event planning is a plus
  • Pursuing a degree in human services or a related discipline
  • A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and strong work ethic
  • Proficient in Canva is a plus but not required.

 

Hours and days can be flexible to accommodate your class schedule.
