Lead Estimator
J&C Sandoval PLUMBERS, LLC, is a family owned and operated company that has served the North Texas area for over 15 years. We have experienced a tremendous amount of growth within our company, these past years and successfully expanded our capabilities to handle large-scale commercial and light industrial projects and offer a comprehensive range of plumbing services. We are currently seeking a plumbing estimator to fill a temporary position for a duration of three months. At the conclusion of this period, a determination will be made regarding the candidate’s potential for full-time employment with our company. Must be a local resident or willing to relocate to the DFW-TX area. We are not interested in remote bidding.
POSITION: Plumbing Lead Estimator
PAY: $20 - $32 PER HOUR. Pay is to be determined and based on experience and project awarded success rate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ability to perform take-offs for plumbing scope of work.
• Perform advanced takeoffs and input utilizing the estimating software.
• Review all bid documents to determine the complete project scope.
• Prepare and present estimate documentation, including gaps in available data.
• Read and interpret plans, proposals, and other documentations to create bids.
• Track and analyze data to reduce gaps between estimates and the actual cost.
• Prepare estimates from take-off to create final proposal document.
• Review completed estimates and proposals for thoroughness, accuracy, value engineering alternatives and compliance with strategic goals.
• Utilize construction network software(s) to search for and find relevant projects to submit estimates.
• Attend job turnover meetings and assure preparation of job turnover meeting materials. Attend job closing meetings.
• Review material pricing provided by purchasing and suppliers and adjusts estimating database and procedures accordingly.
• Gather details and maintain current market data necessary to accurately estimate construction, material and soft costs associated with project construction.
• Continuously follow up on all bid projects and accurately forecast future awards/probabilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Understanding of the construction bid process and on-screen takeoff platforms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software, STACKCT/QUICKBOOKS.
• Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
• Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience bidding PLUMBING DRAWINGS
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Valid social security number
• Must be able to pass drug test(s) as required by company.
• Safety leader and wears appropriate PPE while on any job site.
• Observe all company procedures and safety rules.
• Maintain accurate time records and send to payroll when required.
• Neat, professional appearance
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/ English) preferred
