At Self Care Housekeeping, we know that our clients want to be confident and effective people. In order to do that, they need a s safe, judgment-free path to a healthy home. The problem is that they find themselves struggling to keep up with the home, which makes them feel ashamed, inadequate, and stressed out. We believe that people deserve to live in peace.
We understand what it feels like to sleep on the couch because the bedroom has gotten out of hand, which is how we’ve been able to help hundreds of clients reclaim their space.
Our professionals are trained to not only maintain the home but also understand the specific challenges to develop long term solutions and improved quality of life. We are not housekeepers. We are partners in care, understanding that care is as important for the individual as it is for the community. We do this life-transforming work by creating healthy homes.
Currently, we are seeking a Healthy Home Specialist to fully launch in the Metro Detroit Area. Our ideal candidate will have flexibility and ability to grow their clientele. This will not begin as a full-time or primary position, however, will grow to be one, if you desire.

Our Healthy Home Specialists are classified as independent contractors. Compensation is between $21/hr - $33/hr depending on the work that is performed per visit.
Our Healthy Home Specialists are responsible for:
Keeping up with necessary training and certifications to ensure their competence in providing care.
Performing in-home exercises, such as cleaning, organizing & decluttering, and home management
Administer applicable assessments
Develop goal plans with clients
Keeping accurate records of interactions with clients and wellness check-ins of clients.
Reporting any and all concerns of safety and wellbeing for themselves and the clients they interact with.
Having free access to adequate transportation
Maintaining auto insurance for any vehicle that they are operating while performing work for Self Care Housekeeping
Taking time off/refusing client visits when Care Provider feels overworked, triggered, or otherwise unable to be present for client or if visit will cause Care Provider pain or negatively impact their ability to perform work.
All other tasks that the administration at Self Care Housekeeping finds necessary within the scope of the position and reason.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year experience in mental health, social service, home care, human services preferred
Able to lift at least 50lbs
Able-bodied
Compassionate and well-intentioned
Ability to learn quickly and apply new understanding/redirection
Exceptional communication skills
COVID-19 Precaution(s):
Remote interview process
Personal protective equipment required
Social distancing guidelines in place
Virtual meetings
Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place
