The Event Production Assistant at Twigs & Branches Floral helps manage processes and procedures for inventory, warehouse organization, and facilitating event details. Must have weekend availability and be willing to work up to 10-hour shifts on occasion This role is pivotal in the preparation and coordination of all events including weddings, showers, corporate parties, and other special events. This role is pivotal in creating tailored and memorable events for our clients and is responsible for the following skills and activities across weddings, showers, corporate parties, and other special events:

Mandatory Skills & Job Requirements

• Must pass pre-employment drug test
• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Authorization to work in the United States of America
• Ability to read and write fluently in the English language
• Possession of a driver’s license valid within the State of Michigan
• Ability to lift forty (40) pounds and climb up and down ladders
General Duties & Job Requirements
• Pulling, processing, and organizing inventory and hard goods used for each event
• Loading and Unloading inventory and florals
• Prepping and staging for installs in an organized matter on site
• Must be capable of driving a cargo van/small box truck
• Check-in and clean returned products, restock, and organize
• Pick Up/Return sub rental items to vendors the following week of the event
• Onsite staging/set up of décor and inventory that will be used to support events
• Support take-down of events, return inventory, and warehouse cleanup/organization
• Ability to take input from event designers, and team members and communicate in a respectful and collaborative manner
• Other duties and job functions/requirements as assigned

Common Events & Meetings

The Event Production Assistant supports our event designers with the creative direction of live floral, plants, and décor for the following events:
Weddings, showers, mitzvahs, birthdays, holiday parties, corporate events, proms/homecomings, private parties, and holiday decorating. The Event Production Assistant will assist our designers when needed with clients, both in an assistive capacity with the owner and individually, to help create their desired moment and bring their ideas to life through sample arrangements of live floral and décor. The role requires an individual with a strong capacity to carry on conversations with a variety of clients while showing confident creativity.

COMPENSATION

Hourly wages of $15-17 per hour paid bi-weekly for 26 pay periods per calendar year for regular hours. Overtime will be paid for hours worked greater than 40 in the same calendar week (Monday – Sunday) at a rate of 1.5 times the employee’s base hourly rate. This wage amount will be reviewed annually on or around the anniversary of the hire date of the employee to be adjusted based on national cost of living and inflation data.

VARIABLE COMPENSATION

The employee will be eligible for variable compensation, in addition to base hourly wages, in accordance with the terms below:

Event Take Down Compensation

For each event take-down the employee performs, a flat fee per event will be paid. If multiple employees support the take-down, the fee is not split among employees; each employee receives the full take-down amount. The employee will receive the take-down payment per event, regardless of the number of events in a night. For example, if take-downs are performed for two events in a single night, and the take down rate was $75.00 for each event, the employee will receive $150.00. The take-down event compensation will be set for each event, generally conforming to the following rate schedule, which may be adjusted at the discretion of the Company.

Small Events $ 50-75.00 USD Regular Events $ 100-150.00 USD Large Events $ 200.00+ USD

COMPENSATION TERMS

Wages and variable compensation will be paid in accordance with company policy. Employee must be employed on the day of any variable payment issuance to receive compensation. Compensation plans must be signed by the employee to receive payment. Any changes to the above compensation plan or underlying reports for such calculations must be approved by the Company.
