ReadBoston is the City of Boston's only comprehensive early literacy program, reaching children at all points in their day, all year long. We provide schools, childcare programs, community-based organizations, and families with the resources they need to set Boston's children on the path to reading success.

The Storymobile program is a 4-week, citywide partnership with 50 summer programs and public locations. Professional storytellers provide children with opportunities to participate in interactive stories and every child who attends takes home a new book.

Responsibilities:
• Distribute books to Storymobile programs
• Collect excess books from sites
• Supplement mobiles and sites with books on an as-needed basis daily
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Boston resident 18+
• Clean driving record
• Knowledge of Boston neighborhoods
• Interest in working with a diverse group of children and staff
• Strong people skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to problem-solve
• Ability to lift bags of books

Dates: Weekdays, July 10, 2023 – August 4, 2023

Wage: $15.00-$16.00/hour

The Storymobiles are a Ford E150 van and a Ford Transit 250 van.
