We are currently only seeking A Local In-Person Candidate (near or convenient to Manhattan Beach, CA).

In this 4-week part-time course, students learn to code, speak the language and implement their own designs by learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We are looking for instructors to lead this immersive experience through BeachCoder’s part-time Front-End Web Development courses.

Skills and Qualifications---------------------------------------------------------------------------

You are eager to shape the skills, minds, and careers of engaged BeachCoders Students.
You are the person that your friends naturally gravitate to when they are trying to figure something out.
You have at least 3 years of experience in modern Front-end Web Development.
You have an understanding of the following topics:
You have professional skills enough to conduct a 1on1 training in person.

HTML
CSS
Javascript
Node, React, MongoDB (strong understanding)
Bootstrap/Materialize (strong understanding)

Bonus Skills: C++, Solidity, Rust, Decentralized application dev, design experience.


Essential Responsibilities and Duties-------------------------------------------------------

Teach from one and up to five, 2.5-hour part-time classes per week, for 4 weeks.
Most Sessions are 1on1 private training.
Guide students through the development of a stellar final project of their choosing.
Facilitate a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Minimally assist students outside of class as necessary. (via slack)


Best Candidate Fit------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We find that our successful instructor staff are typically from one of two categories:

1. A seasoned or working professional that has some time available from month to month where they can engage with people and give back to the community.

2. A freelance developer or recent grad with time available from month to month between other projects that enjoys keeping sharp by instructing and sees the value in adding an instructor role to their resume.

BeachCoders® Academy is a for-profit coding boot camp focused on individualized public and corporate training for web development, user experience design, and blockchain. We focus on education for individuals and enterprises in the areas of technology, design, and entrepreneurship. We currently have physical classrooms in Manhattan Beach and local college campuses. We are boutique, personable, and have helped our instructor staff step into high-value professional careers as a result of being on staff.
