We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Public Adjuster to join our team. As a Public Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating and analyzing claims related to physical property damage to vacant client assets. Your primary role will involve negotiating settlements with insurance carriers and ensuring accurate, fair, and equitable settlements for hazard claim losses. Additionally, you will maintain strong relationships with carrier contacts and provide exceptional customer service to clients.
Essential Functions of the Job:
•Review all claims within the assigned queue, determining accurate, fair, and equitable settlements within Service Level Agreement (SLA) timeframes.
•Correspond with insurance companies and independent/field adjusters via phone and written communication to negotiate settlements and achieve timely claim resolution.
•Appeal coverage decisions accurately and promptly to ensure the best possible outcomes.
•Escalate aged or high-priority case claims as necessary.
Skills Required for Performing the Duties of the Job:
•Familiarity with standard insurance concepts, practices, and procedures.
•Ability to leverage past experience to make rapid decisions and determine the best resolution for unique situations.
•Excellent multitasking abilities, adaptability to changes, and effective time management skills to meet work goals.
•Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable settlements.
•Clear and effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
•Strong customer/client service skills.
Experience and Licensing Requirements:
•Minimum 2 years claims adjusting experience preferred.
•Must obtain a Public Adjuster's license in the resident home state within 60 days of hire.
•Upon successful completion of obtaining the Public Adjuster's license in the resident home state, new hires must obtain Xactimate Level 1 Certification within 60 days.
•Upon successful completion of the Xactimate Level 1 Certification, new hires must obtain Xactimate Level 2 Certification within 60 days.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other relevant databases.
