About us: Bourlier’s Barbecue & Fireplace is a family owned and operated business since 1948. The Ferndale location was open from 1999 - 2012. We moved to Royal Oak in 2012. We sell and provide parts for all the following.
Grilling: Complete Outdoor Kitchens and their Components, Gas and Charcoal Grills, Pellet and Electric Smokers, Gas and Wood fired Pizza Ovens. We also carry a complete line of Grilling Accessories and an amazing selection of Woods, Pellets, Rubs and Sauces for every level of barbecue person out there.
Fireplaces: Gaslights, Fireplaces (Direct-Vent, Vent Free, & Wood Burning), Room Furnaces, Charcoal grills, Fire Pits, Fireplace doors, Gas Logs, Fireplace Screens, and Tool Sets.
Job Description: We currently are seeking an energetic showroom team member to support our continued growth by providing an incredible customer service experience to our customers, support with computer data entry, pricing, cash register, working in the QuickBooks program. This is a 32-40 hour a week position. We provide training on products, systems, and processes to newly hired team members to provide the foundation of expertise and incredible service to our customers.
Job Purpose: Serves customers by helping them select products and providing an incredible customer service experience to our customers. Acts as a Showroom Assistant with stock fill-in, assisting customers with their purchases to their cars when needed, floor merchandising, Answering the phones and Store general up-keep and cleaning.
Duties:
• Welcomes customers by greeting them, offering them assistance by asking questions to see what their
needs are directing them to and area and asking a sales associate to assist them.
• Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters display areas and suggesting items.
• Documents sale by creating or updating customer profile records.
• Accurately processes payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit
cards.
• Upkeep of sample area and assigned areas on sales floor and in general basic Showroom upkeep and
cleaning.
• Complete assigned training modules as assigned in a timely manner.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Must be 21 years or older
• Must be able to operate a computer, cash register, credit card processing and multi-line telephone
system
• Likes building long term relationships with customers and have great follow up skills
• Can find info when needed
• Has a desire to make a difference
• Can train on the job in a fast-past environment
• Uses down time effectively to improve the store appearance and customer service relationship and
administrative duties
• Customer service or retail sales experience preferred
• High school diploma/ GED or equivalent some college preferred
• Good reading, written and verbal language skills (English)
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail, with good organizational skills helpful
• Basic math skills required
• Ability to move and/ or lift to 50 lbs. Heavier merchandise with team assist
• Stock Merchandising-Pricing, Moving and Displaying product required
• Assisting Sales Staff – with getting customers purchases to car required
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings till 6 P.M. Job Type: FULL-TIME will offer the successful candidate Benefits after 60 days.
