Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
• Use knowledge of the general concepts of landscape design including site analysis, project
theming, schematic design, and design development.
• Participate in design meetings with clients to gain a thorough understanding of their needs,
materials, and design style preferences.
• Work directly with clients, mostly in our onsite design center, using our proven design process.
• Prepare landscape designs and construction details for all phases on projects of various sizes.
• Work with Project Manager to complete a detailed project folder before turning over to
Operations.
• Assist in editing technical specifications and reviewing shop drawings.
• Conduct post construction meetings to get feedback, and to develop new opportunities/leads.
• Participate in marketing efforts including proposal development, interview participation and
presentations.
• Perform site visits on all active projects as needed.
• Ability to use Aspire software for easy proposal generation.
Qualifications:
• Five years of relative Landscape/Hardscape Design experience.
• Expertise in horticulture understanding and plant identification.
• Thorough knowledge of standard practices, materials, tools utilized in landscape work.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms.
• Ability to establish trust and maintain relationships with customers to increase opportunities.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the rest of the Burkholder
Team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and maintain professional demeanor.
