Music Director
Umpqua Symphony Association seeks an enthusiastic and engaged Music Director for the Douglas County Youth Orchestra (DCYO). DCYO is a string-instrument orchestra. The Music Director is selected by and reports to the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
(1) At least a bachelor's degree in Music Education and/or Music Performance with a string-instrument (violin, viola, cello or bass) focus preferred
(2) At least 2 years music teaching string instrument groups and/or mixed strings classes preferred.
(3) Performance fluency on at least one string instrument (violin, viola, cello or bass) with ability to teach (if not play) the other instruments at beginning to intermediate level.
