Canvassers are responsible for the day-to-day outreach on behalf of the organizations and causes that we represent. Successful applicants will possess strong communication skills and the ability to multitask. Applicants should be driven, energetic, and passionate. Prior canvassing experience is beneficial but not required; we will train the right candidates. Drivers are needed, with additional compensation. Speakers of a second language, particularly Spanish, are strongly encouraged to apply. This is not a fundraising position.

Responsibilities:

Staff will engage with the public in a friendly and professional manner. Aspects of the job may include: collecting petition signatures, door knocking to deliver critical information to community members, staffing campaign and community events as needed, and handing out flyers at predetermined locations.

Requirements:

Comfortable talking to strangers, working outdoors, and knocking on doors
Proficient in data entry
Meet quotas and deadlines
Can take and follow directions quickly
Physically able to stand and walk for long periods of time
Deliver a compelling pitch and ability to stay on message
