SUMMARY:
Coordinates job development activities for designated Center. Assists clients in developing resumes, interviewing skills, and other aids in finding employment. Works with the Community Employment Specialist to match verifiable job orders for permanent (as opposed to day labor) positions that may be accessed by clients or Case Managers on their behalf. If needed, arranges interviews and transportation to interviews, and performs follow up activities to verify continued employment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Complete employability assessments to determine job readiness, barriers to employment, and training needs.
• Generate monthly reports for Chapman Partnership. Document all client contacts in HMIS.
• Aid clients with resume writing, job readiness, interviewing preparations and other services to overcome barriers to employment.
• Arrange transportation for interviews and conduct follow up activities to verify continued employment.
• Support educational initiatives through client recruitment, enrollment and tracking of outcomes.
• Facilitate and conduct professional development and work readiness workshops.
• Performs other assignments or tasks as deemed necessary.
