The Payroll Administrator works under the guidance of and reports directly to the CEO and Controller. They must perform the activities required to process the payroll for a company or organization along with specific accounting responsibilities.
This includes the recordkeeping responsibilities for all the payroll documents, processing payroll, bonuses, commission payments, collecting and entering timesheets, and processing accounting transactions related to payroll. Also wage garnishments and levies, as well as filing voluntary deduction and tax reports. The current software being utilized is the Paychex Flex System with Paychex Time and Stratus Time Attendance
This position will also have the Accounting responsibility of learning our ERP software which includes accounts payable and billing along with quick books accounting.
We are specifically looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills and experience with the following program:
Paychex Administration Time Clock Administration
HR Coordination with Paychex HR Platform
Quickbooks Accounting
ERP Account Software
Time Clock Administration- Administer our attendance system weekly to ensure all associates are paid accurately based on hours worked in our Paychex System.
Process all new hires for personnel into the payroll system
Bi-Weekly payroll for 3 companies (2 retail locations, and 1 wholesale location)
Management of the electronic payroll time clock, approval of all warehouse punches, entering missing punches or edit lunches, or absences as necessary. Administer all vacation, personal, NJ Sick days, bereavement, jury duty or unpaid days

Human Resources and Benefit Tracking
HR Coordination with Paychex platform. Conduct and coordinate new employee orientation for new warehouse and office hires. Focus on the support of Warehouse staffing needs with new hiring.
Employment Verifications, perform pre-screening background checks for new employees, along with scheduling. Update the Williams Trading Co new hire manual and policies
Administer and enroll the Health and Benefits package with new employees including medical, dental, vision, LTD, STD, voluntary life insurance, Aflac, 401k traditional and ROTH deductions.
Track 401K participants
Response to worker comp claims
Additional Responsibilities: The Payroll/HR Benefits Administrator works in conjunction with our warehouse management, to meet staffing needs for a busy pick and pack warehouse operation.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years of data entry experience in an HR/Payroll department.
Minimum 1-2 years HR support experience. College degree preferred.
Paychex Experience preferred (Paychex Flex System with Paychex Time and Stratustime Attendance)
Detailed-oriented and Multi-tasker
Benefits: Salary $39-42K per year commensurate with experience.
