Safety Training Specialist
ehs International, Inc. (ehsInc), established in 1997, is an environmental health and safety training and consulting firm based in Orange County, CA. ehsInc conducts work nationally. Looking for a motivated, experienced, and qualified safety specialist with minimal field experience to do on-site (client location) audits and safety training. ehsInc is willing to train. The safety specialist will be responsible for ensuring the highest education standards, which correspond with OSHA requirements. Safety specialists will work with many high-profile organizations that aim to meet regulatory compliance requirements.
Job Duties Include (but are not limited):
Assesses and researches safety training needs and programs as determined by clients' needs assessment, safety inspections, and mandated safety training requirements.
Develops, implements, and coordinates cost-effective safety training programs; reviews procedures and other training for safety content; designs criteria to measure effectiveness in meeting organization safety goals.
JOB-RELATED AND ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
ehsInc is willing to train; knowledge of General operating practices, hazards, safety rules, applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and codes related to health and safety. Safety training principles and methodology. Accident/injury/incident investigation techniques. Ability to Design and implement safety training programs. Make sound policy and procedural recommendations.
Prepare clear and concise reports, records, correspondence, and other written materials. Make clear and concise persuasive oral presentations.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Other Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 3 years of field experience
OSHA Outreach Instructor – Construction Industry
Understanding of Cal/OSHA Fed/OSHA requirements
Effective communication skills in English
High Proficiency in PC-based applications (Microsoft Office Google Business Apps)
Excellent interpersonal skills
Construction Health Safety Technician Certification (CHST) a plus
Bilingual a plus
Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
