Requirements:
· Ph.D/Psy.D, LCSW, LMHC.
· Experience working with trauma survivors of underserved populations.
· Certification or in process of training to receive certification in TF-CBT, DBT, or other evidence-based clinical trauma treatment.
Job Summary:
The Trauma Recovery Center is an award winning program that is the first of its kind in NY. It is designed to help victims of violent crime overcome barriers to accessing mental health treatment, health care, and legal resources in the acute aftermath of trauma. The TRC provides trauma-informed psychotherapy and assertive case management services to victims of interpersonal violence, with a focus on reaching survivors from underserved communities. The clinician will provide comprehensive intake evaluations, individual, family, collateral, and group therapy, and clinical case management services to survivors of violence, using evidence-based practices that are effective for the service population. The clinician will also provide crisis intervention and emotional support to all clients and families. Sessions can occur at office, through telehealth, in clients home or in the community. There is $5,000/year increase for bilingual clinicians. The clinician may need to go out into the community and meet clients within their homes, hospitals, etc.
