The Swimming Swan is in need of a County Supervisor for the greater Bay Area. Responsibilities include conducting certification courses, managing private lifeguards, and aiding in the operation of local contracted pool facilities.
This is a seasonal*, full-time position with an anticipated two Lifeguard Certification Courses per month - roughly 20 hours each course - plus managerial hours during the week. Additional duties and some travel may be required.
*Full-time hours are available between May-September. Some part-time hours will also be available during the off-season months.
Our staff includes lifeguards working for both private clients and at scheduled facilities. All are required to maintain their skills by participating in, at minimum, monthly in-services and recertification courses as needed.
DETAILS
Hiring Bonus: $300 after 90 days of employment
Gas compensation: $0.65 to the gallon after the first 10 miles of each trip
50% reimbursement on all certification and certification-renewal courses
The Swimming Swan is an E-Verify participating employer. Upon hire, applicants may be subject to a background screening, reference check, and drug screening.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age with a High school Diploma or equivalent.
Current and valid ARC or equivalent certification including but not limited to: Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED.
Current Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) certification required
Current Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (LGI-T) certification preferred.
3+ years of lifeguard experience in a leadership role preferred.
Access to reliable transportation, including a valid driver’s license and auto insurance as applicable.
Ability to pass pre-employment verbal skills, swim, and in-water skills tests.
Flexible schedule required.
Strong customer service background.
