Expedia Cruises in Petaluma is one of the fastest-growing travel agencies in North America. To support this large sales growth, we are looking to hire an administrative assistant to support our Petaluma office. Travel is a fun and exciting business with some reduced-rate travel opportunities available for the staff. We have a team-oriented and friendly office environment.
We are looking for a full-time front-office professional with strong communication skills, excellent ability to work within a team, and the ability to handle multiple requests with a strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate demonstrates urgency, takes pride in his/her work, and has intermediate skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
This position is based in Petaluma, CA.
Responsibilities
• Answer and route multiple incoming phone calls to Travel Consultants
• Coordinate marketing calendar for email and flyer distribution
• Prepare and send travel documents to customers
• Print travel flyers as needed to support mailings
• Interacting with consultants, scheduling desk time, and overseeing office communications
• Download and format reports in Microsoft Excel
• Filing and data entry
• Order and stock office supplies and travel brochures
• Organizing and light cleaning of office
• Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
• Two plus years of administrative support experience
• Can work independently
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for email and calendaring
• Willingness to learn new computer systems
• Proficient at using the Internet and web-based applications
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong spelling and grammar skills
• The ability to multi-task is a must
• Organizational skills, self-discipline, and initiative should come naturally
• Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
