General Manager
Position Summary
The Lil Yogis Yoga General Manager provides in class educational/fitness-minded programming for our children. They organize, instruct and implement safe, fun and entertaining activities. They also assist with special kids Program events and classes as needed based in local schools and after school programs. There is some travel required between site (4 different school locations and 5 camps)
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Constructs and implements weekly/monthly educational/fitness lesson plans following our guidelines
Engages in Fitness/educational based activities and skills
Prepares and sets up for class and transfers kids to and from programming
Assists with Lil Yogis programming and classes when needed
Promotes all Lil Yogis programming and classes in order to increase participation
Cleans up and restocks after each class
Position Requirements
6+ months of teaching dance or yoga to children ages 3 – 11
Ability to demonstrate and participate in the activity or skills that is being taught
Completion of all training and required learning
Available Monday through Thursday from 9am - 2pm (45 minute classes)
Preferred Requirements
Class specific certification or license
-1 year of experience in fitness/dance/yoga area
-Certification or equivalent education experience in Early Childhood Development if working with children under the age of 6
Lil Yogis Serves is a community service program founded in 2008. Lil Yogis serves is a specialized curriculum rooted in emotionally responsive practice and social emotional learning. Lil Yogis NYC trained instructors go into schools in underserved communities and teach our classes with a focus on SEL combined with yoga. At Lil Yogis, we believe that children can only learn academics when they feel safe and secure. The purpose of Lil Yogis serves is to go into the schools and teach skills to help children regulate and understand their emotions.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
