We have a full time position (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) at our horse boarding ranch in Winters, CA. This is not a riding position. If you are seeking a riding position please do not apply for this position.Horse experience is a plus but not required.

Examples of horse experience desired are:

- Safely and calmly catch and lead horses around the facility
- Understand basic safety regarding working around 1000 lb animals
- Identify when a horse is in distress, sick, or injured

Responsibilities Include:

- Feeding horses
- Stall cleaning
- Turning horses in and out
- General ranch repairs
- Irrigation
- Operating ranch equipment
- Fencing

Skills Required:

- Responsible, Self-motivated & Able to prioritize duties
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Capable of lifting and pushing heavy items repeatedly
- Able to lift 120lb hay bales
- Arrive and depart work on time
- Work without the need of constant supervision
- Read, write, and communicate in English

It is helpful (but not required) if you have any of the following experience:

- Basic mechanical skills a plus
- Driving ATV
- Operating a tractor
- Ranch maintenance (fence repair, digging, powerwashing, vehicle maintenance, etc.)
