Child Care Teacher Job Summary
We are seeking a Child Care Teacher to join our preschool learning center team. Candidates should be passionate about providing young children with the skills and socialization they need to succeed.You will develop educational lessons and oversee activities that incorporate colors, shapes, numbers, abc, storytelling, gross and fine motor, STREAM activity . We prefer candidates with early education hours. It is essential to maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for all children in our care. Needing an opener Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 5:00 pm includes an hour lunch break.
Immediate Start
Day Care Teacher Duties,Responsibilities,and Qualifications
• A high school diploma or GED certificate
• College credits in early childhood education
• knowledgeable of child development and up-to-date education methods
• Supervise children ages 6 weeks-5 years old and school ages 5-12 years old
• Develop age-appropriate lessons and activities
• Design and follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material
• Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child’s abilities
• Provide basic care and caregiving
• Collaborate with colleagues
• Patience, flexibility, organized, team player, timely and love for children
• Strong communication skills
• Communicate with parents about progress and potential concerns
◦ Notify the director about potential concerns immediately
◦ Maintain a safe supportive and clean environment
◦ Keep up to date attendance, behavior, and progress reports
• Prep and serve meals
• Maintain state required professional development hours
• Lift up to 40 lbs
• Other duties as needed
• TB vaccination within 30 days
• First aid/CPR certification within 30 days
• Experience working with young children or as an assistant teacher a plus
