Basic Function
Airvac is the global leader in the Vacuum Technology System conveyance industry. The Engineering
Intern will help organize data, perform testing, solve problems and implement improvements associated
with our products, components, and systems. This position works closely and in conjunction with
managers and team members in our Manufacturing, R&D, and Systems & Project Engineering areas.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Creates and updates Production Work Instructions and Assembly Procedures using Word &
PowerPoint, suggests improvements to procedures and processes.
• Helps implement product and production improvement ideas.
• Photographs, weighs and documents new part specifications for SAP entry.
• Monitors production lines for issues and assists with questions for engineering and quality.
• Supports engineering staff with AutoCad and/or SolidWorks drawings and updates.
• Reviews standards and procedures to determine which need to be created or revised and proceeds
with documenting new procedures as well as updating old procedures.
• Communicates issues and resolutions with managers and team members.
• Communicates all observations and passing or failing of tests to manager.
• Assists R&D with testing of products and documents findings.
• Assists with materials and drawings for manuals and other technical documents.
• Understands and complies with all HSE, Compliance, Travel (and Annex) and other Company
Policies.
• Complies with company quality, operating, and technical procedures and work instructions as it
applies to the position.
• Perform various other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Required Skills
• Current enrollment and 1 year of studies related to Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• Software proficiency to include Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD,
SolidWorks. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Problem solving attitude, strong communication skills.
• Ability to effectively write and present technical information.
• Understanding of and ability to apply principles of mathematics, science and engineering.
