Nanny
The sweetest stay-at-home mom on the North Shore of LONG ISLAND seeks a FULL-TIME NANNY to be her right-hand person in caring for their 10- and 8.5-year-old girls, 4.5-year-old boy, and a baby girl on the way (due June 2023). The eldest three will be in the same school starting in September. They usually walk to and from school or take the bus.
They have after-school activities that Mom typically takes them to and from, but the nanny may need to do drop-offs and pickups on occasion. A family car is usually provided but the nanny should have their own vehicle as a backup. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record! Mileage reimbursement will be provided if using your own vehicle.
Nanny will primarily be with the infant while her siblings are at school/activities. Main duties include complete infant care (bottle feeding, changing, etc.), meal and snack prep for the kids, homework help, running occasional errands/light grocery shopping, pick-ups and drop-offs, keeping kids’ rooms and play areas neat and tidy, as well as the children’s laundry (putting clothes away) and family laundry on occasion. They have a regular cleaning service and a well-trained medium-sized dog in the home. No allergies, please!
This position requires extreme FLEXIBILITY, with some weekday evenings and typically always one weekend evening. Sundays are almost always guaranteed to be off as well as one other day during the week (2 days off per week guaranteed!). Pay for 40 hours per week is guaranteed, but they usually do not use all 40 hours to account for the flexibility needed. The schedule will be slightly variable from week to week and will be provided the Sunday for the following week. There is potential for travel once per year on family vacations. Must have a valid passport!
The ideal candidate is energetic, responsible, creative, and always two steps ahead! They seek someone who is neat, organized and takes the initiative to identify and do things that need to be done without being asked. Someone who is engaging and can come up with creative ways to keep the kids entertained and learning (not sticking them in front of a screen). COVID, tdap, and other childhood vaccinations are required. Must be willing to sign an NDA.
Pay is $25-30/hour depending on experience. Benefits include paid holidays, 5 paid sick days, and 2 weeks of paid vacation; one week of the family’s choosing and the other week of the nanny’s choosing. They are happy to offer additional unpaid vacation. Start date is ASAP!
