Your Responsibilities
• Provide technical assistance for the PCs, servers, and networks of small business owners and teams
• Resolve issues for clients via remote sessions (60%), by phone (25%), and in person at their locations (15%).
• Identify areas of weakness or vulnerability and recommend improvements to the client’s infrastructure.
• “Own” the customer issue you have drawn, effectively tracking customer issues, applying resolutions, and promptly communicating with the client about their issue’s status.
• Alert company management when a client situation requires more help than a single technician can provide, or when there’s an opportunity to increase business with the account.
• Document all of your work with the client, including a description of the problem and the solution you have applied.
• Maintain confidentiality about the client’s proprietary business practices and all of its data.

Your Skills and Experience
As a Level 2 technician, you have:
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Ability to communicate and build rapport with clients
• Positive and professional demeanor
• 3 or more years of experience working with an MSP
• 5 or more years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting desktop, laptop, and server systems
• An understanding of physical and logical network infrastructure, security infrastructure, and performance and capacity planning. Specifically, this includes:
o Windows servers (active directory and/or group policy)
o Virtual environments (VMWare, MSFT Hyper-V)
o Microsoft Exchange servers
o Security (firewalls and antivirus)
o PC/Mac cross-platform
o Storage (SAN)
o Desktop/notebook support
o Networking
o TCP/IP, routing and sub-netting
o Backup and disaster recovery planning
o Deploying and configuring managed services
• Able to lift 20-30 lbs
• Eligible to work in the US

Local Travel Is Required
• Although we resolve most needs by remote control or phone, some daily local travel occurs based on client needs
• You must have reliable transportation with current insurance coverage and a driver’s license
• Our technicians are given a mileage allowance for approved travel to and from local client locations
