Embroiderer

Founded in 1992, Cayson is a well-established and respected company that designs, manufactures, and sells culinary clothing. Our clients include many of the top restaurants across the country. Cayson is renowned for our quality and customer service. As we proudly produce our apparel in our modern San Francisco sewing workshop, we can accommodate short lead-times, customized orders, and embroidery services.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in the apparel industry, working on industrial embroidery machines required
• Knowledge of Tajima machine and its maintenance process
• Accuracy, superior hand/eye coordination, and attention to detail is required in performing all functions of the position
• This position relies on performance efficiency, strict quality standards and requires reliable on-time attendance
• Team oriented, respectful, and strong work ethic
• May need to work (6-7 hours per day) in a standing position, walk, bend, push, pull and lift up to 45 lbs., demonstrating proper work safety techniques
• Noise level in work environment is normally low to moderate
Previous experience a plus, but we are willing to train, if you are willing to learn! Position requires a positive attitude, high attention to detail, dependable and reliable attendance, ability to set-up and operate commercial embroidery machines. Command of the English language, in speaking, writing & reading are necessary to communicate effectively with company staff. Strong basic computer skills (Windows, MS Office, email) and the ability to learn additional computer programs (Pulse Signature Embroidery Software) will also be needed. Adherence to all company policies, procedures and guidelines are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Embroidery, paperwork & Pulse software
• Proof order paperwork for accuracy and consistency
• Utilize our 6 & 8 head Tajima industrial embroidery machines to complete orders
• Follow established designs and specifications and create or update designs using Pulse Embroidery Software
• Prep garments that are ready to be embroidered by using hoops with great accuracy
• Calibrate, set up, and perform routine maintenance on embroidery machines, as well as trouble shoot minor machine problems
• Trim finished embroidery and re-hang garments to be ready for shipping
• Must be able to work independently and manage multiple projects within deadlines
• Improve efficiencies and reduce downtime of machines
• Maintain a well-organized and clean personal workspace
• Receive and organize new thread and materials when necessary
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with cross functional teams to ensure proper workflow
• Other duties as assigned by management to address and provide effective support of company mission, values, and goals
