Lead Teacher, Intiwasi Spanish Immersion School
Lead teachers are responsible for designing and implementing curricula, as well as mentoring teaching staff. In this position, you will also be required to represent our school to stakeholders.
To ensure success as a preschool teacher, you should demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills. Top candidates will have a thorough understanding of project-based, play-based learning and experience in Montessori inspired curricula.
Lead Teacher Responsibilities:
Formulating and implementing curricula in accordance with students' developmental trajectories.
Documenting and reporting on students' progress at regular intervals.
Creating student reports at the end of each unit of study
Adhering to legal and educational requirements to ensure students' well-being.
Chairing meetings with teachers and parents.
Supervising assistant teachers to ensure that they are performing their functions correctly.
Develop and maintain lists of dietary restrictions, allergies & medications.
Mentoring newer or assistant teachers, particularly those with limited experience.
Liaising with other departments to facilitate the school's overall advancement.
Representing the school to relevant stakeholders.
Create daily reports on Playground to send to parents and include images and descriptions of class activities so parents in tune with their child’s development.
Post ouchie reports on the app and report them to the direct supervisor.
Respond to parents' messages on the app.
Assist in completion of timely, neat, accurate documentation of daily activities.
Supervise children in the classroom.
Supervise play time when needed and understand that all children are in the play area are at their care regardless on whether they are their students or not
Maintain a clean environment inside the classroom and in the outdoor environment.
Responsible for setting up and cleaning up all activities as well as meals.
Check emails daily.
Read the monthly newsletter to stay in tune with the school's activities.
Assist in the daily maintenance of the school.
Lead Teacher Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Bilingual Spanish & English
Valid state license or equivalent.
Proven experience in curriculum development and implementation.
Prior experience in teaching within this age group.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to mentor a diverse group of individuals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A passion for early childhood development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour
