Job Opportunity: Youth Leadership Services Navigator

Indian American Community Services (IACS) is a leading nonprofit and community-based organization committed to strengthening community through intergenerational support services with an emphasis on healthy living, economic, and social responsibility. The IACS Youth Leadership and Support Services Program has a track record of innovative and impactful support services and leadership training and mentoring for youth.
This position supports the work of the IACS Youth Leadership & Support Services Program. The candidate will work with the IACS Youth Leadership Program Director providing operational and admin level support. This position is 20 hours a week Part-time contract position. Our office is in Redmond, WA but most of the work is done remote and at offsite locations for meetings/projects/Events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
ï Support team meetings, pre and post meeting/events, and admin paperwork at the IACS or off-site locations.
ï Support youth at offsite events.
ï Assume responsibility for interpreting the rules, policies, and traditions of the program to the youth participants
ï Be a team player that can relate positively to all staff, volunteers, and participants
ï Organize and manage set up, clean up and participate in activities necessary to deliver a quality experience.
ï Develop and execute an annual calendar of events including for the different youth groups with guidance from Program Director.
ï Create weekly and monthly communications as needed
ï Manage projects with youth ambassadors as needed
ï Work with community partners and schools
ï Send out emails and forms for program registrations, update spreadsheets with all action items for families to complete
ï This position will require some evening and weekend work for meetings, events, and registrations
ï Mid-July through October the position may require additional work hours
* Perform all other duties assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
ï Bachelor’s degree in a related field or comparable training and experience
ï Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

ï Ability to evaluate and prioritize workload to support multiple deadlines
ï Ability to organize and set clear expectations for tasks and deliverables
ï Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
ï Excellent written and oral communication skills
ï Ability to videoconference on Zoom and Teams
ï Demonstrated proficiency with diverse technology platforms, programs, and services, including Microsoft Office and associated products
ï Demonstrated ability to work well with others and take initiative
ï A strong passion for working with youth and experience working with youth preferred
ï Physical Mobility: walking, climbing, stairs, standing, kneeling, bending, leaning, stooping and sitting for extended periods of time.
ï Physical Dexterity: ability to use telephone, computer, electronic equipment,
office equipment (fax, copier, stapler, etc.), tools and machinery as needed.
ï Lifting: ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
ï Sensory Requirements: ability to hear, listen, speak, smell, touch, taste, see and distinguish colors.
ï Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
ï Our office is in Redmond, Washington but most of the work will be offsite and virtual
ï Hybrid work schedule to be arranged with Program Director
ï Fast-paced work environment with a focus on employee well-being
ï Ability to work well within cross-functional teams with a mix of staff and volunteers
ï Office environment has moderate noise levels from standard office equipment and conversations; regular walking, sitting, bending; ability to perform consistent work on PC and videoconferencing is required
