SCHEDULE: Wednesday - Sunday from 9:30am - 6pm
LOCATION: 15235 Aurora Ave N, Shoreline, WA 98133. Ideally this position will cover other store locations if someone calls out sick, need flexibility
THE ROLE OF A RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE
The Recology Store offers products that encourage waste reduction by replacing single-use items with reusable ones. The store is also a drop off location for hard to recycle items. As a retail sales associate, you will be building relationships with customers by educating them on brand-appropriate products. This is an awesome opportunity to support your local community and the environment with an employee-owned company!
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Sell products designed to reduce waste.
Manage recycle drop-offs from customers
Provide superior customer service to customers and anticipates product needs.
Educate customers about waste reduction.
Create, lead, and run events to attract customers to the store.
Continually expand knowledge of sustainability and brand-appropriate products and services.
Maintain visual standards and cleanliness of the store.
Stock product on sales floor.
Run the cash register.
Identify and research new products for sale.
Open and close out the store each day.
Process customer payments as necessary.
Communicate and cooperate with other staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
One year of experience in customer service and/or retail.
Retail sales operations, including industry standards, requirements and Retail Sales quality measurements.
Computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite of applications.
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license.
