HOSPITALITY ASSOCIATE
Founded in 1996, DuMOL is a vineyard focused producer of cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from distinctive vineyards in the extreme southwestern part of the Russian River Valley. Our small team is dedicated to our portfolio of Estate, leased, and grower-partner vineyards. DuMOL wines are released through limited allocations to our consumer mailing list and select restaurants worldwide. We work with good people and we’re going to make some amazing wines.
We are seeking a candidate with an aptitude for high-touch hospitality and customer service to offer an unparalleled experience for current & new DuMOL wine members. We focus on delivering a welcoming and informative hospitality program to achieve our goal of engaging new Members and developing deep and lasting relationships with current Members. This individual will provide exemplary customer service, have a keen attention to detail, and an ability to be adaptable. This position is a key member of the Hospitality team and reports directly to the Hospitality and Events Manager.
Position is hourly, full time, based on Thursday through Monday work week with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as winery activities and staffing needs demand. The Hospitality Associate is a lead role with growth potential.
Primary Responsibilities
Host guests and shares the DuMOL wines and story in an educational and entertaining environment in person or virtually
Create a compelling experience that encourages guests to become DuMOL Members
Represent DuMOL in a hospitable fashion among all aspects of guest visits to winery or events - including initial correspondence, confirmation, tasting experience, wine sales and shipments, and follow up, potentially assisting during DTC release periods, as needed
Build lasting relationships with Members leveraging high-touch engagement, including hand-written thank you notes and genuine communication
Provide exemplary customer service to DuMOL Members, potentially assisting during DTC release periods as needed
Collaborate with the Hospitality and Events Manager to maintain a full schedule with complete data to support analysis, including recording guests’ wine preferences
Maintain a clean, presentable, and operational space – including washing and polishing glassware, taking out recycling, ensuring the bathrooms are presentable
Manage inventory of wine and supplies, recording depletions correctly and restocking as needed
Assist with preparation and execution of DuMOL events, as needed
Look for improvements and efficiencies, providing solutions in a collaborative environment
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to connect with a diverse range of people demonstrated by a track record of success in hospitality or customer service fields
Wine knowledge and a passion for learning about winemaking and viticulture
At least 3 years’ experience in luxury winery, retail, restaurant or hospitality environment with fine attention to detail, enthusiasm to work with various people, and high standards in work product
The intention to elevate their performance. They welcome feedback and are receptive to changing needs and priorities. They are team oriented and know when to collaborate and ask for help
Excellent verbal and written communication, with polished in-person, phone, and email skills
