Performance Automation Solutions (PAS) is a fast-growing Building Automation System (BAS) Contractor in the San Diego area. We are looking for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in the Building Automation Systems and DDC (Direct Digital Controls) field. This is an office-based position as a BAS Sales Engineer.

Job Description:
• Utilize your engineering degree and critical thinking to assist the team in developing complete project proposals for the design, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems (BAS).
• Read and understand mechanical and electrical plans as the basis for creating estimated scope of work for BAS.
• Develop conceptual BAS designs during the bid process to accurately estimate the material and labor costs for design build projects.
• Estimate material, labor, and subcontractor costs for system plan and spec projects
• Maintain database of material and labor rates to efficiently generate new proposals
• Prepare technical scope of work proposals and presentations
• Communicate consistently and effectively with project managers, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain relationships with General Contractors, Architects, Owners, and Mechanical Contractors

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field). Open to students in final year of degree if able to work part-time as a paid intern during school
• Excellent attention to detail
• Fast learner
• Effective communication skills to give presentations
• Ability to pass background check and drug test.
