The Institute of Soil and Soul is looking for interns for the 2023 season. The Institute of Soil and Soul is a regenerative farm and ecological educational center located in the suburbs of Chicago. In exchange for 10-12 hrs per week, interns will receive college credit and a comprehensive immersion in small-scale regenerative agriculture from leaders in the field, and build skills in: animal husbandry, planting, harvesting, composting, propagation, mycology, plant identification, foraging, and natural building. We welcome diversity, and favor interns who are interested in self-reliance and building an authentic, respectful connection with the natural world. Interns are required to spend one hour a day developing and practicing a self-care practice - i.e., mindfulness, yoga, cold-plunges, walks, etc. - and catalogue their growth and development throughout their process.
