Aerospace Fiberglass Repair Technician - Competitive wages and benefits, growing company, convenient Spokane Valley location.
SkyOne Aerospace is seeking a self-motivated Fiberglass Repair Tech to join our repair shop team to aid in performing mechanical repairs to C130 Propeller Spinners and their accompanying components using innovative products such as special paints, carbon fiber, and fiberglass repairs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conducts receiving inspection of in-coming assemblies / components in accordance with established procedures and technical data.
• Performs disassembly, inspection, build –up, paint, cleaning, inspection, and assembly of aircraft components according to customer’s specifications, airworthiness directives, and applicable manufacturers’ guidelines
• Maintains proper segregation and identification of components in progress
• Show proper ability to operate hand tools (painting equipment, wire cutters, drills, compressor extensions, and measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers)
• Performs painting functions including mixing of primer / paint as well as application
• Demonstrates a commitment to continuous process improvement and practices
• Interface and work closely with other colleagues daily as part of a team.
• Properly documents worked performed and follows work instructions
Requirements and Qualifications:
• One year of experience with fiberglass repair
• One year of experience with HVLP paint gun operation
• One year of experience with electrical testing
• Highschool diploma or equivalent required
• Verbal and written proficiency in the English language
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Basic Computer skills, must possess the ability to operate standard office equipment and pertinent software applications
Knowledge is required to perform basic math including the ability to perform calculations using fractions, percent, and ratios.
Looks for ways to eliminate safety hazards and improve the overall safety of the workplace
• The Usual and customary methods of performing the functions of the job include meeting deadlines, keeping with schedules, setting priorities, and attention to detail
• Must have the physical ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis, as well as occasional heavy lifting of 100 pounds and be able to: lift, carry, push, pull; some climbing and balancing, frequent stooping, and standing.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret manuals for assembly purposes
• Must be able to understand and comply with SkyOne Aerospace Safety Policy and Accident Prevention Policy.
This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40. Candidate must comply with SkyOne Aerospace DOT Drug and Alcohol Policy.
Compensation DOE - Full Time Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm
