CAREGIVER JOB DESCRIPTION
Mission Statement:
We are a team dedicated to providing a safe, secure, and respectable environment for our clients, who are preferring to stay at home.
As a Caregiver with Always & Forever Comfort Care LLC, you will provide a variety of non-medical services to clients in a residential setting.
Residential setting: Independent living, assisted living, short/ long-term care & Rehab facilities
Services Would generally fall into one to three of these categories:
*Companionship, *Homemaker, *Personal Care:
Companionship
• Positive Conversation and companion/Social and entertainment
• Monitoring client (Balance, Walking, Cognitive)
• Playing Cards/board games
• Reading/Watching TV
• Meal Preparing/Medication Reminders
Homemaker
• Light housekeeping/Vacuum/Mop
• Dusting/Cleaning Kitchen/Bathroom
• Laundry/Straighten of Bedroom etc.
• Accompanying with Errands/Appointments etc.
Personal Care
• Assisting with Bathing/Dressing/Grooming
• Assisting with Toileting and Incontinence issues (Brief change, etc.)
• Assisting with Repositioning, Fall prevention
• Dementia/Alzheimer care (Redirecting, Reassuring, etc.)
Other Responsibilities Could Include:
• Monitoring, Documenting, and Reporting all necessary findings timely, honestly, and correctly. (Ex: Client logs, Significant Changes, Supervisor, hours etc.)
• Being Respectful, Honest, Dependable, and Positive always.
• Having patience and an Up-lifting spirit
• Providing additional services under the Scope of practice
Qualifications:
• Must enjoy working with seniors
• Must hold minimum education, experience and skill to perform Assisted responsibilities:
(35 pounds of lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, tugging, twisting, kneeling, stooping, reaching, repositioning, etc.)
• Must be able to adapt to various living environments and locations
• Must be able to treat clients, family and their property with respect and dignity
• Must Communicate with Clients, family, on coming and Office staff clearly and in a congenial manner.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have valid driver license and reliable transportation
• Must have a proof of valid car insurance (holding the minimum state requirement)
• Must be able to successfully pass all screenings: Drug test, background check, and Physical capabilities.
• Must be able to adjust to care plans needs and responsibilities as services progress
